Revision Policy

Effective November 3, 2026. This policy applies to custom house plans and plan modifications.

We want your plan to be right, and we also want every project to finish on time. This page explains how revisions work so both sides know what to expect.

1. Up to five revision rounds are included

Every custom plan and modification includes up to five (5) revision rounds before the design is finalized. Revisions are not unlimited. A revision round is one consolidated set of change requests sent to us together, for which we return one updated draft.

2. Send all changes together

Please collect all of your changes into a single message for each round. Several separate emails about the same draft are treated as one round, and we reply once with an updated draft. Each draft we send will show how many rounds have been used, for example “Revision 2 of 5”.

3. Project brief before drafting

Before drafting begins we ask for a short brief: lot size and orientation, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, must-have features, budget, and a sketch if you have one. Drafting starts once we have this information, because most extra revisions come from details that were missing at the start.

4. Scope is confirmed in writing

After your brief, we confirm in writing what will change and what will stay the same. Requests outside that confirmed scope are treated as new work and may require a new quote.

5. Response window

Please send each round of changes within 14 days of receiving a draft. If we do not hear from you within 14 days, we will follow up, and if there is still no reply the project may be treated as complete. You can reopen it later as a new request.

6. Review carefully in the last rounds

Please check dimensions, room sizes, door and window positions, and labels carefully before you approve a draft. We will remind you when one round remains.

7. Extra revision rounds

If you need more than five rounds, additional rounds are available for an added fee through our Extra Revision Round add-on.

8. Major changes are new scope

A change that reworks the design, such as changing the building footprint, moving stairs, or adding a wing, is not a revision. It is new scope and will be quoted separately.

9. Final approval and delivery

When you are happy with the design, we ask for a written approval (a reply of “Approved” is enough). The final files are delivered after approval. Once the final design is approved or the final files are delivered, the project is complete and no further changes are included. Later changes are treated as a new request and may require a new quote and payment.
