Home Plan DIY started with a simple frustration: the big plan portals charge $700 to $2,000 for a set of drawings, before a single board is cut. We believed owner-builders deserved better. So we built a store where professionally drawn, build-ready house plans download instantly, at a price that leaves room in the budget for the actual house.
Built for the people doing the building
Our plans are drawn for owner-builders, DIY families, and small contractors, the people who read the drawings themselves, price their own materials, and swing at least some of the hammers. That shapes everything we design: efficient footprints, straightforward rooflines, conventional framing, and layouts that make sense on paper and on site.

What we will always tell you honestly
Our plans are not engineer stamped. They are professionally drawn to standard practices, but codes vary by state and county. Have a locally licensed engineer or architect review your plan before permits. We say this on every product page because surprises belong in gifts, not in builds.
Think in heated square footage. Porches and unfinished space are cheap; conditioned space is not. We design efficient footprints because that is the single biggest lever on your build cost.

Find a plan you love and download it instantly. If it is almost right but not quite, our modification service reworks it with you by email, with unlimited revisions before final delivery.
